The game of baseball brings every player many memories along with building relationships that last a lifetime. My relationship with Coach Booker started when I was playing High School baseball at Greenville High School. I can still remember the countless hours that he put in to help me be the player that I am today. He impacted me on the field but more importantly he has impacted me as a person. Everyday, he showed up with a positive attitude ready to serve each one of his players. Coach Booker has plenty of experience himself in many sports but his ability to give back from what he has learned is unmatched. I am forever grateful to have worked with Coach Booker but more importantly I am forever thankful for our friendship off the field.

Talk about a good influence. Coach Book always knew how to mold the team into a group of guys that love getting their work done and have fun doing it. While doing things the right way and preaching the same, he always knew how to put a smile on my face. Since I don't get to see him much anymore I take his energy with me and try to impact my friends and teammates the same way he impacted me. Coach Book will forever look out for his boys, and they always look out for Coach Book.

In my opinion, Coach Booker is the best mentor, coach, father, and friend that you will ever meet. My name is Braden Golinski and I’m a First Class Cadet at the Untied States Military Academy at West Point. I’m also a Captain of the baseball team and plan to branch Aviation and fly helicopters for the Army within the next year. Before West Point, Coach Booker was one of my baseball coaches throughout high school and is one of the select people that I make sure to visit in the limited number of trips I go back home every year. I make sure to visit him, because of the positive impacts he has made on my life. Every week during high school, he would motivate the entire team to challenge themselves to become better a person and baseball player. He loves to challenge and motivate his peers, baseball players, family, and others in the community, because he knows there is kindness and love inside of everyone’s heart. Coach Booker is the kind of man that is always there for you and always wants to help people no matter the situation. He has given me advice in many different situations and taught me to look from the outside-in to find the positives in every situation. He is one that cares for everyone in the community and will encourage everyone to better themselves in all aspects of life. Lastly, there’s never a dull moment with Ricco Booker as you will always find a smile on his face.
